The Triangle Golf Challenge reception and live auction on Thursday night will feature items including a 5-night cruise donated by Linda Craft & Team, a NCCU Basketball Experience with LeVelle Moton, a one week vacation to Snowshoe, WV, a UNC Basketball Experience with Phil Ford, jewelry and more. Tournament sponsors and players are invited to attend the reception for free, and the cost will be $50 per person for the general public. The Triangle Golf Challenge golf tournament will begin on Friday, June 16 at 9:00 am with a shot-gun start. Guests of the event will have the chance to mix and mingle with celebrity hosts Phil Ford, Walter Davis and Levelle Moton. The Croasdaile Country Club golf course was designed by famed architect George Cobb for a grand opening in 1966. Architect and Cobb Associate, John Lafoy performed a very honest and essential renovation in 2002, which included a conversion to A1-A4 Bentgrass greens and provides our current course layout. A unique experience for today’s golfers, the course weaves across varying elevations and landscapes in the form of a butterfly with both nines returning to the clubhouse, yet very few contiguous holes. Therefore, players are treated to a very private golf experience. Players can register to play in the Triangle Golf Challenge golf tournament at www.trianglegolfchallenge.org.

“We are looking forward to these fun events designed to assist families in home ownership and offer youth tremendous support from the community,” said Sherrod Banks, President of The Banks Foundation. “The generosity of the players, sponsors and all who donate this year is essential for The Banks Foundation and Communities in Schools of Durham to continue to enrich lives in and around the Triangle.”

The Triangle Golf Challenge is currently soliciting donations, giveaways and sponsorships. For more details, contact Sherrod Banks at 919-474-9137 or by email to [email protected]. To view online team registration forms and sponsorship information, visit www.trianglegolfchallenge.org.
